Senator Alvarado-Gil to Present Check for Joint Public Safety Facility at Pre-Parade Event Saturday
Join us and Senator Alvarado-Gil for a festive day of community and celebration! We are hosting a meet-and-greet at Station 25 of the El Dorado County Fire Protection District (EDCFPD) in Downtown Placerville at 10am on Sunday, December 3rd. We will have kid-friendly holiday crafting, cookies, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa! After, join us at 1pm for the Hangtown Christmas Parade in Historic Placerville – the largest parade on the west slope of El Dorado County!
Senator Alvarado-Gil will be presenting a check for $1 million to the EDCFPD and the City of Placerville. Earlier this year, she toured the fire station and was deeply moved by the condition of the buildings our dedicated first-responders operate out of. This contribution is dedicated to the Placerville Joint Public Safety Facility Project, which aims to replace the aging Fire Station 25 and the Placerville Police Department building. Both buildings are in dire need of an upgrade, and this funding is a crucial step toward creating a safer and more efficient space for our first responders and our community at large.
We hope to see you there!
