Firefighters Host Open House in Pollock Pines
Pollock Pines, Calif. (Aug. 6, 2023) — Firefighters welcomed local residents to an open house Saturday to celebrate their newly remodeled station. The remodel project was initiated with donations from community members and groups and grew into a more extensive and thorough project that was completed earlier this year.
The Fire District was grateful for the opportunity to thank contributors and welcome the community to tour the facility, explore the apparatus, visit with firefighters and even enjoy a hot dog lunch.
Chief Cordero introduced guests including former El Dorado County Fire Protection District Division 4 Director and CEDAPP representative Ken Harper, current Division 4 Director Jim Edmiston, Division 3 Director Lloyd Ogan, Division 2 Director Mickey Kaiserman, El Dorado County District 5 Supervisor Brooke Laine, and local ultra-runner Herve Leconte. American River Construction Consulting, the construction manager of the project, presented a hand painted portrait for the station's lobby.
