Collision With Commercial Vehicle Prompts Response in Pleasant Valley
April 20, 2022 — Just after 1 PM today, Chief 7700, Division 7705, Engine 17, and Medic 17 responded with Diamond Springs El Dorado Fire Protection District Engine 349, Medic 49, and Pioneer Fire Protection District Engine 38 to a multi-vehicle collision on Pleasant Valley Rd just east of Newtown Rd. Two passenger vehicles and a commercial dump truck were involved. One patient is in critical condition and was transported to a helispot where Calstar 3 was waiting to fly the victim to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. A separate patient with minor injuries was treated and released at scene. California Highway Patrol was at scene and conducted an investigation into the cause of the collision.
